I have been a quilter since the mid 1990's when my mother in law, who was a prolific quilter and crafter, introduced me to rotary cutting and quick quilting. She had a longarm and it was a beast for her to manage so she sold it to me in 2003 and I started up a machine quilting business. A few years later a career in travel fell in my lap and I spent 15 years as a successful travel planner but still made and quilted quilts. In 2020 most of our lives changed and my travel career came to a screeching halt. I loved what I did but for a variety of reasons, including my health, it was time to move on to another chapter of my life. In early 2022, I decided to empty my piggy bank, send the original and now 28 year old longarm to a new home, and jump feet first into the 21st century of quilting with a brand new APQS Freddie and Intelliquilter. The tech side of quilting is very appealing to me and I am loving it! The quilt pictured above is one of my own, and the very first one I did with Intelliquilter. Pattern would fall into the $.02 range as it is considered a medium density design. If you need a longarm quilter near Greenfield, Indiana, contact me for quick turnover and quality work!
Quick Fact: I have been on over 40 cruises since 2006! (They weren't free either!) I sail with my mom, my husband, and my travel friends who need a "plus one".
I sew, row on my own Concept2 erg, take care of the yard and bake bread. I also have a dog who is living the good life here after retiring from the show ring. My sourdough bread is so good I can't buy it any more. Bring a jar and I'll give you some starter and instructions how to make your own.
