There are also items that may be impossible to quilt without damage to my machine or your project. This includes denim, some embellishments, painted fabric and some items that may be fragile. This will be discussed during intake.
Fullness and puckers can not always be quilted out. We do not guarantee these personalities will not be sewn in and made permanent in your quilt. In some cases it might be better to rework a border or specific area than to quilt it. Seams that are not stitched together can entangle the hopping foot and result in a tear. Measurements will be taken at intake, and pricing is based on UNQUILTED item. The quilting itself will draw up fabric and your quilt be smaller when it leaves.
A longarm quilting machine is a big, expensive sewing machine that stitches thousands of stitches per minute. There is a small risk of damage to your quilt top or back due to mechanical failure. We are a legal business in the State of Indiana with a tax ID. Business name is Linda Norton Machine Quilting. Sales tax will be collected on retail items and will be remitted to the State per law. Liability limited to value of replacement fabric only for similar quilt. Exact fabrics may not be available. Quilts are taken in close to the time they are ready to be quilted due to (1) limited space and (2) insurance purposes.
All clients will be provided a written estimate to be signed, and any changes to that estimate will be addressed prior to the project commencing. If something does not meet with customer approval, customer is responsible for bringing it to the longarm quilter's attention within 7 days of receiving the quilt. Reasonable attempts will be made to rectify the problem. Since quilting is agreed with the client upon prior to work commencing, removal of stitching is not considered to be reasonable.
